Laith McGregor
Laith McGregor is an Australian artist covering painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and video within his art practice. He is best known for his very intricate pen drawings. Predominately a figurative artist with his drawings, paintings and photography his sculptures can be quite diverse.
He has been exhibiting since the early 2000's and has had many solo shows across Australia and New Zealand.
Currently, Laith McGregor is represented by Station Gallery, Melbourne and Starkwhite, Auckland, NZ
HIs work is also part of many institutions and major collections including MONA, Hobart, Tasmania
He has been the recipient of numerous awards & residencies such as the Qantas Art Prize, Collie Print Trust Printmaking Fellow at The Australian Print Workshop, Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery Contemporary Drawing Prize, Rick Amor Drawing Prize, the Art & Australia/Credit Suisse Private Banking Contemporary Art Award & has also completed residencies in Barcelona through the Australian Arts Councils Studio & at the Centre Intermondes in La Rochelle, France.
